Almost all travel restrictions related to COVID-19 were lifted on Oct. 11, 2022 now you can travel to Japan almost the same way as before COVID-19

Register for "Visit Japan Web" beforehand
Visit Japan Web” is a web service that people entering/returning to Japan can use easier procedures for Immigration, Customs and Quarantine.
Fast Track is a way to handle quarantine procedures from Visit Japan Web. If you use Fast Track, the verification procedures for your questionnaire responses and COVID test certificate or vaccination certificate can be handled before you enter Japan.

② All travelers are only required to show COVID-19 vaccination certificate* or COVID-19 negative test result*
*A valid COVID-19 Vaccination certificates of three doses of vaccines prescribed on the Emergency Use List of World Health Organization (WHO)
*Pre-departure COVID-19 test must be conducted within 72 hours prior to departure from the original country/region.
