DESIGN TOKYO attracts a variety of visitors who seek sophisticated,
functional yet marketable design products selected from around the world.
Screening Policies
DESIGN TOKYO establishes the Screening Committee, organised by specialists working in the design industry.
The Judging and Screening Committee shall conduct screening and qualify applicants as exhibitors at DESIGN TOKYO while respecting the concept and
the quality of the fair and its screening policies. Those who applied for the booth are requested to submit company/products information.

*Only companies who are approved by the Screening Committee will be able to exhibit at DESIGN TOKYO.
If you are not approved, you will be exhibiting at one of other 7 shows held inside LIFESTYLE Week July.

In order to respect the concept of the show and to maintain high quality of exhibits, DESIGN TOKYO establishes the Screening Committee, composed of specialists working in the design/interior industry, and only those who are approved will be able to exhibit at DESIGN TOKYO.
Eisuke TACHIKAWA
CEO of NOSIGNER / President of JIDA (Japan Industrial Design Association) / Design Strategist / Visiting Professor at Kanazawa College of Art
Eisuke TACHIKAWA is a design strategist who only works on projects for a hopeful future.
He has won over 100 awards worldwide for his cross-disciplinary designs, demonstrating his high expression level in industrial design, graphics, and architecture.
He advocates “Evolutional Creativity,” a new educational method teaching the essence of creativity from the natural phenomenon of biological evolution. Some of his most renowned projects include Tokyo Bousai, PANDAID, and the basic concept of the Japan Pavilion for the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
His book “Evolutional Creativity” (Ama No Kaze, 2021) won the 30th Shichihei Yamamoto Prize.
Ryuko Kida

Ryuko Kida has been working on lifestyle, interior and design for long as an editor/journalist.
After experienced deputy chief editor for "FIGARO JAPON (CCC Media House)" and chief editor for "Pen (same to the left)", became a chief editor for "ELLE DECOR JAPAN (Hearst Fujingaho)" since December 2015. In charge of current position (Brand Director) since July 2014.
Tanja Hwang

Tanja Hwang is a design curator and researcher currently based in New York, where she was appointed Curator of Modern Design at the Museum of Modern Art in 2024. Her work encompasses a wide variety of interdisciplinary exhibitions, publications and research projects spanning design, architecture, fashion and visual art. Previously located in Hong Kong, she has made it her mission to strengthen and expand transnational connections in design research to foster an understanding of the global history of modern and contemporary design.
